BioSweet-natured, shy and quiet, Aeris has floated through life without many cares. As long as she has the cool earth to dig in, and flowers to smell, she's happy. A very hard-worker, Aeris finds it easy to focus on tending her gardens, tuning out the world around her. This means that she has next to no friends, but she's unconcerned. Beyond the others at the flowers shop, and a mother who sends her letters from far away, she talks to very few. She can go for days without human contact, and that suits her just fine. As long as the sun is shining, so is she.
Aeris grew up in Powhatan with her mother, a wonderful woman who taught her everything she knew of gardening. Aeris took to the earth like a fish to water, and she was happy to spend hours under the sun, tending her little patch of ground, and chattering away to her flowers and vegetables.
As Aeris grew up, her mother became concerned that her daughter's life was far too sheltered. Having an interest in plants was one thing, but spending your time doing nothing else was quite another. They had lived in such a quiet area, there were no other children for Aeris to play with. Sometimes, her mother felt that the flowers Aeris loved so dearly were nothing more than a replacement for the true friends she'd never had.
Wanting her daugher to have a fuller life, Aeris' mother decided that it would be best if she sent her to Twilight City for schooling. As soon as Aeris turned nineteen, she put her plan into action. It nearly broke poor Aeris' heart to say goodbye to the saplings and the blooms she knew so well, but her mother was not to be budged. Aeris needed to grow up among people, not plants.
Sadly, her mother's wishes were not to be granted the way she had hoped. While Aeris did come to enjoy the city, she never clicked with the others around her. Unable to afford anything but the slums, Aeris went to school on and off, eventually leaving for good when she was offered more work from the florist, as well as the position of assistant gardener for Neverland Park.
Now she walks through the streets, her head held high, feeling as if she's on top of the world. Perhaps if she knew what she was missing, things might be different...
